Boko meets Clinton

Botswana National Front (BNF) president Duma Boko met former president of the United States and human rights activist, Bill Clinton at a meeting of the Center for Global Dialogue and Cooperation (CGDC) in Vienna, Austria.

BNF publicity secretary, Moeti Mohwasa has revealed that Boko formed part of a panel gathered under the theme Democracy vs Economic Dominance last Friday. In his panel were Dr Walter Schwimmer, vice-president of the CGDC and former secretary general of the Council of Europe, the panel's chairman, Hans Demmel, CEO of German TV N-TV, Ilir Meta, former Prime Minister of Albania, Ingrid Deltenre, director of the European Broadcasting Union, Begumhan Dogan Faralyali, chairperson of Turkish media conglomerate, Dogan Holding, and Gail Romero, CEO of MBA Women International, an international organisation that seeks to develop leadership skills among women. 

The afternoon featured a panel discussing the theme, Global Challenges of Democratic Leadership in the 21st Century with Zimbabwean Prime Minister, Morgan Tsvangirai in attendance.  "This conference will go down as one of the highlights of my life, I can tell you that! My address to the conference has placed the BNF and the Umbrella project firmly on the world stage.
