BOFEPUSU reports govt to ILO

The leadership of the Botswana Federation of Public Sector Unions (BOFEPUSU) left on Monday for Geneva, Switzerland to report the government to the International Labour Organisation (ILO) for abusing workers rights.

BOFEPUSU deputy secretary general, Ketlhalefile Motshegwa said the team is on a mission to ILO to report violation of workers and trade union rights in Botswana. The team left for Geneva on Sunday and will be back on June 14.

Motshegwa said the public servants salary negotiations at Public Sector Bargaining Council (PSBC) commences on June 24, a few weeks after a bench marking exercise in Public Service Coordinating Bargaining Council in South Africa. "The PSBC of Botswana will on the 18th June 2013 attend SADC Bargaining Councils Forum in South Africa.
