BOFEPUSU plans political strategy

Former Botswana Federation of Public Sector Unions (BOFEPUSU) publicity secretary, Pelotshweu Baeng told workers yesterday that the organisation will discuss the strategy at its forthcoming national congress. "That (political strategy) will help us to be in control of this country's politics.

As the working class, we must broaden our struggle and embark on multi-faceted strategies and tactics. Our power and influence must be felt by everybody. We cannot represent workers meaningfully without political influence," he said.  He stated that the labour movement in the country urgently needs to adopt a political strategy to achieve its aims. "We need a political strategy now. Without political influence we will never go anywhere. It is now or never.
