Boerewors' welcome for BDP councillor at BCP

A Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) councillor for Ramotswa, Tselayabotlhe Tsetse, defected to the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) yesterday.

Tsetse says he was driven to resign from the BDP after he was harshly reprimanded by his fellow party members, allegedly for being in violation of the party's caucus rule during the election of the council chairman and deputy.

He departed from BDP tradition and voted for opposition councillors for both positions in the South East District Council.
