BOCCIM mediates between govt, unions

Private sector representative body, Botswana Confederation of Commerce Industry and Manpower (BOCCIM), has begun mediation efforts between government and striking public sector workers' unions.

Yesterday, BOCCIM President, Modiri Mbaakanyi said the organisation had already met with senior ministries of Finance and Development Planning and Presidential Affairs and Public Administration officials.

He said today BOCCIM mediators would meet with public sector union leaders, marking the first round of consultations in the mediation effort.
