BNYC hosts political empowerment seminar

The Resident Representative of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), Helmut Elischer has advised young people who are aspiring to contest for political office in the 2009 general elections to have true leadership qualities and serve their communities diligently.

He said this when opening the Political Empowerment Workshops on Tuesday at the Kagiso Centre in Mogoditshane. The workshops which will be held countrywide are conducted by the Botswana National Youth Council (BNYC) and they cover Francistown, Palapye, Gantsi and Tsabong. They are funded by FES.

"Go back to your locality and tell them that you are capable of representing their interests," advised Elischer.
