The Botswana National Front Youth League (BNFYL) boycotted a press briefing meant to reiterate opposition youth movements' support for the African National Party Youth League (ANCYL) president Julius Malema yesterday.

BNFYL secretary general Arafat Khan denied that they missed the event because of other engagements as their colleagues from other parties said at the press conference. He explained that they did not attend the press conference because their policy is not to comment publicly about the issue.

"Our position is known to the relevant people especially the ANCYL officials, and we respect the internal process of progressive forces," Khan said. He added that they pray for peace and stability in the ANC structures.
