Speaking during a political rally at Mmadona Freedom Square, BNF parliamentary candidate for Selebi-Phikwe constituency, Moeti Mohwasa said his party will bring development to the town if he becomes MP. "I am contesting against people who have been MPs before, Kavis Kario of the BDP and Gilson Saleshando of the BCP. I have plans for Selebi-Phikwe and they will force you to vote me back to Parliament in 2014," Mohwasa said. He told BCL mine to stop accommodating its employees in one-roomed hostels.

He explained that the BDP government has controlling shares in the mine and it is its responsibility to make sure employees get proper accommodation. Mohwasa stated that the BDP does not exist anymore and people should forget about it.
