BNF targets young voters

SELEBI-PHIKWE: The Botswana National Front (BNF) Selebi-Phikwe West constituency has embarked on a campaign to woo young voters for this year's general election.

BNF publicity secretary, Moeti Mohwasa explained that the youth constitute the largest number of potential voters and it is important to target them. The BNF drive to woo the youth to vote is code-named 'Itshware ka vote monana'.

The youth have been castigated for their laissez-faire attitude towards elections yet they have the numbers to influence the outcome of voting and change. Mohwasa said the youth have an important role to play in strengthening the country's democracy.
