The Botswana National Front (BNF) has fielded Moses Bantsi as the parliamentary candidate for Gaborone West South after the expulsion of area MP Robert Molefhabangwe. Bantsi was beaten by Molefhangwe in the BNF primary elections.

He is the younger brother to Maemo Bantsi, the BNF's parliamentary candidate for Gaborone West North. He is the BNF organising secretary as well as the president of the Botswana Athletics Association (BAA).

BNF spokesman, Moeti Mohwasa said the decision to field Moses Bantsi was made at the constituency level. He said the matter was referred to the constituency after the BNF expelled Molefhabangwe, who is standing as an independent candidate. He said Bantsi was given the nod because he came second to Molefhabangwe during the primary elections.
