FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana National Front (BNF) has indefinitely postponed the launch of its countrywide recruitment and member-education initiative dubbed the Upfront Tour to focus on other important party engagements.

The party's spokesperson, Moeti Mohwasa revealed in an interview yesterday that the initiative was initially slated to premiere on August 24 last year in Jwaneng. The launch would have come a day after a fundraising dinner for the construction of the party's headquarters, Kopano House. After the launch, the grand plan was to take road shows to the southern part of the country between August and October and the northern part in November and December.

The postponed project was geared at sharpening the consciousness of the public, with particular emphasis on the youth, about the significance of voting during elections in a bid to get rid of voter apathy.
