BNF peace deal collapses in Selebi-Phikwe East

On Monday the party’s publicity secretary, Moeti Mohwasa acknowledged that there had been differences within the party and there was no proper plan in place to reconcile the primary elections losers and winners after the selection process.
“We engaged them, particularly Moruti to apologise so that we approached the general elections as a united force,” he said.
The BDP as a party known to have ample resources has always held its primaries well in time, but this time around that was not the case. The first leg of the primaries was held last weekend, with the final leg being billed for the coming weekend. This time around, the BDP failed to shine in its primary elections.
