At least one hundred and thirty-five members of the Botswana National Front (BNF) in Mosolotshane ward in the Shoshong constituency have quit the party protesting against the expulsion of dissident councillor for the area, Mogalakwe Mogalakwe.

The letter indicated that all the undersigned were leaving alongside the expelled outspoken councillor. "Re utlwile jaaka le kwadile mme jannong re le bolelela gore salang sentle ka kagiso ba ga rona, le rona re kubilwe le Comrade Mogalakwe", the letter reads in part.
