BNF Holds Special Congress In Phikwe

SELEBI-PHIKWE: The opposition Botswana National Front (BNF) will hold a special congress in Selebi-Phikwe over the Easter holidays to adopt its policy documents and launch its campaign for this year's general elections.

BNF spokesman, Moeti Mohwasa said there will be no party elections at the congress because the term of the current officials expire in 2010. He said an ordinary congress is due next year after the last one was held in 2007.

He explained that the Easter Holiday congress will adopt the Sectoral Policy and the revised Social Democratic Programme (SDP). The two documents have been sent to constituencies for scrutiny and will be discussed at the congress.
