Bilateral talks between the Botswana National Front (BNF) and Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) collapsed yesterday after the two could not agree on which principle to adopt for the 2014 general elections through the opposition cooperation project, Mmegi is informed.

The talks held last night in Gaborone are a culmination of a decision taken at the main talks between all the four opposition partners. After the BMD reportedly stuck to its guns demanding 27 constituencies whilst others disagreed, it was resolved that the partners should have bilateral talks to iron out issues around constituency allocation and find an agreeable solution, a source close to the talks has revealed.
