MANDUNYANE: Botswana National Front (BNF) publicity and information secretary, Moeti Mohwasa ,says his party is on a mission to seize the Tonota South constituency from the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP).

Mohwasa, who is also the BNF parliamentary candidate for Selibe-Phikwe West, said although the BDP has been dominating the constituency since the country's first general elections in 1965, he hopes this time around the BDP's reign will finally come to an end.
Speaking as the guest speaker at a well-attended political rally in Mandunyane Ward in Tonota South on Wednesday, Mohwasa said in the 43 years that the BDP has been in power, it has done little to alleviate poverty in Tonota South.

He said the area is one of the most underdeveloped in the country with most people living in dire straits despite their allegiance to the BDP. He called on the elctorate to change by voting for the BNF in next Friday's general elections, adding that it is the only party that can make a difference in Tonota.
