BMWU branch query NEC over outstanding audit

FRANCISTOWN: Botswana Mine Workers Union (BMWU) Selebi-Phikwe branch and the BMWU national executive committee (NEC) are headed for another clash over outstanding unaudited union accounts.

The BMWU Selebi-Phikwe branch says it will only rest once a proper audit has been done, thus proving that union funds had not been "misused either by the past or current NEC members".

Branch officials raised their concerns at last year's national council meeting held at Palapye where they expressed dissatisfaction with the explanations given by the leadership.
