BMC �thinking� of opening butcheries

The Botswana Meat Commission (BMC) is ‘thinking’ along the lines of opening its own butcheries in Gaborone, Francistown and Maun to provide quality meat for the people of Botswana.

BMC Chief Executive Officer, Dr Tombale Akolang confirmed to Mmegi during an interview that setting up a chain of butcheries is something the organisation is considering, but would not reveal further details on the matter.

However, Tombale said that there are control regularities to be followed, after which he would be able to say more.
