Block 7 residents reject Ditimamodimo

The decision was taken by close to 300 residents of the middle-income area at a meeting in which area councillor Batlhalefeng Letlhage, mayor Kagiso Thutlwe and council physical planners were invited.
The incensed residents gave the mayor a two-weeks ultimatum to have consulted the physical planners, who did not attend the meeting, to remove the billboards bearing the name Ditimamodimo. One resident Pako Tsimanyana said the name Ditimamodimo does not bring dignity to their location.
The BDP as a party known to have ample resources has always held its primaries well in time, but this time around that was not the case. The first leg of the primaries was held last weekend, with the final leg being billed for the coming weekend. This time around, the BDP failed to shine in its primary elections.
