BIUST opens in Oodi

The long-awaited Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST)'s first intake of students are expected to start classes in August 2012.

The university will be operating from the Oodi College of Applied Arts and Technology (OCAAT) when it opens.

Speaking during a press conference in Gaborone yesterday, the acting vice chancellor of the university, Professor Steve Howell said the university, which will commence operations with an initial intake of 250 students, hopes to operate from Oodi for only a year. The university is operating on a five-year plan of 250-student intake per year.
