A whistle-blower who had filed a case of corruption and abuse of office against the Vice Chancellor of the Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST), was finally fired from the university's employ after a lengthy disciplinary hearing that took nine months to conclude.

A member of the BIUST Council and also a BOSETU shop-steward at BIUST, Dr Galani had filed a whistle-blowing report with BIUST Council Chairman against Professor Otlogetswe Totolo.
