BIDPA identifies opposition problems

Botswana opposition political parties are poorly organised and this has negatively impacted on their performance, according to a 2004 study on the state of governance done by the Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis (BIDPA).

The study credits the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) with better management of its affairs.

Weak operational structures of opposition parties, it says, make it operationally difficult for the parties to mobilise resources effectively.
