BHC builds for destitute

FRANCISTOWN: Botswana Housing Corporation (BHC) is building a house for a destitute in Semotswane as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The groundbreaking ceremony for the house of Shadiko Baseyo has been performed and BHC public and corporate affairs manager Mookodi Seisa said at the event that their CSR programmed aims to assist the less fortunate members of the community.

"It is in this regard that we have decided it is important to respond to this call to assist one of our own who has not been that fortunate. The corporation through the northern regional office was given a task to identify a community project that could benefit from out CSR initiative. Upon identifying five projects, an assessment by the office was carried out to determine which project could be recommended to management for funding," said Seisa. He was speaking on behalf of BHC chief executive officer Reginald Motswaiso.
