BDP Women endorse controversial compromise list

Reports reaching Mmegi indicate that concerned women took turns criticising the organ's current executive leadership for "serving their interests first, ignoring the party's standing principle of party interest first and then individual interests later." An insider has informed Mmegi that at the end of a heated debate, BDP women activists agreed that the compromise would be the way to go. Unfortunately, reports indicate that there was concern as to how the compromise list made a fortnight ago in Mahalapye came about.
"The concern of women mainly was that the compromise list did not reflect what the two previous National Council meetings had ordered," said our source, who preferred anonymity. She added that even President Ian Khama did not prefer it that way.
