The Monitor has learnt the BDP executive committee convened yesterday (Sunday) to finalise crucial decisions regarding the conduct and budgeting of the primary elections. The BDP primaries are scheduled for March, with an official announcement anticipated this week.

During this week, individuals aspiring to contest the primaries will learn if they have successfully passed the vetting process at the branch level, according to a reliable source. Notably, the BDP constitution grants powers to the party central committee to vet out potential candidates before branch committees make their recommendations.
