BDP to hold early 'Bulela Ditswe'

FRANCISTOWN: The ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP)'s controversial Bulela Ditswe elections are back to rock the party early before Christmas holidays.

This was after the Monday central committee meeting resolved to hold primary elections early December only in the constituencies that are held by the opposition parties.
Presently, only two opposition parties, the Botswana National Front (BNF) and the Botswana Congress (BCP) are represented at parliamentary level by13 Members of Parliament (MPs). Of the 13 opposition MPs, Dumelang Saleshando of Gaborone Central belongs to BCP.

The constituencies that will experience the early Bulela Ditswe roller coaster include Gaborone West North, Gaborone West South, Lobatse, Kanye South, South East North, Kgatleng East, Letlhakeng West and Ngwaketse West. The rest are Kgalagadi North, Letlhakeng East, Kanye North and Tswapong South.
