BDP to embark on political education

The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) national council will embark on a political education exercise to enlighten its membership.

The council, which met last weekend in Gaborone, said the political education will target all party structures, from the central committee, regions, branches, down to the cells where emphasis will be on membership's responsibilities, the spirit of self-reliance and selfless dedication to the service of the people of Botswana and "the cause of the party as enshrined in our party constitution," reads Resolution Five in part.

Responding to party chairman, Daniel Kwelagobe's concern that party structures across the country are dysfunctional, the council resolved that all levels of  the party structures should embark on vigorous campaigns to reinvigorate members and recruit new members.
