Chairman of the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) electoral board, Parks Tafa has praised his party saying they have registered three times more voters than the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC).

Interviewed yesterday, Tafa said his party has been able to create excitement among voters by registering close to 700, 000 voters, while the IEC is complaining about voter apathy.

Tafa hailed his party claiming that they have the best democracy in the world  because every member of the party participates in the elections of councillors,  and MPs. 'In most democracies such privileges are enjoyed by delegates, we have the best system in the world, even better than the American democracy which is beamed on televisions all over the world,' Tafa said.
