BDP purges NYEC of six members

Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) National Youth Executive Committee (NYEC) chairperson, Simon Moabi has confirmed the suspension of six NYEC members for two years.

The members faced disciplinary hearing after an attempt to oust Moabi as their leader.  This was after the chairperson expelled Bruce Nkgakile from the committee. 

The suspended members are Thabo Autlwetse, Onneile Foxx Segwai, Bruce Nkgakile, Thatayaone Serema, Bonang Morapedi, Kitso Mazebedi, Sekano Bodio and Patience Kaego. Kabo Ketshogile who was suspended had already resigned before the disciplinary hearing took place.
