BDP presents Moyo and BMD youth defectors

The on and off relationship between former Botswana Movement for Democracy member, MP Guma Moyo and the ruling Botswana Democratic Party is on again.

Moyo who left the BMD last year stating business commitments is set to be welcomed back to the Red, Black and White in an elaborate press conference this afternoon. Sources within the BDP say Moyo will be accompanied by a number of other BMD defectors, who have been recruited by him.

The ruling party is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this week and it is hoping to kick off the week in a positive mood by also presenting a number of BMD Youth League defectors. Among the young politicians from the opposition BMD will be Armstrong Dikgafela and some of his Youth League interim committee colleagues.Dikgafela (former chairperson) resigned from BMD early last week with Rosylin Panzirah (former secretary general), Ruth Kedikilwe (former spokesperson), Kagiso Kwelagobe (former treasure) and Tobokani Kudzwani, who was not on the committee of the youth wing of the BMD.They resigned citing internal instability.
