The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) special edition of the Central Committee (CC) sitting on Monday has recommended mediation for the warring parties in the Serowe North West constituency, Mmegi has learnt. Information from the BDP secretariat shows that the party will this Friday send a high-powered three-person delegation, led by the party chairperson Samson Guma, Secretary General Mpho Balopi and the member of the (CC) responsible for the Central region, MP Botlogile Tshireletso and other undisclosed leaders to sort out these issues.

FRANCISTOWN: The party leadership is following up on the political brouhaha in which a BDP Bulela Ditswe primaries contestant Prince Kgwaneng is accused by the incumbent MP Tshekedi Khama's team of disregarding party primary elections rules and regulations by allegedly campaigning before time.

The story doing the rounds in Serowe as presented by those in the know is that the Tshekedi team also known as the "TK team" wanted nothing less than Kgwaneng (PK team) vetted out of the race.  As part of its enquiries, the BDP last week dispatched the Deputy Secretary General Malebogo Kruger and CC member Kitso Seloma to investigate. In a recent interview, Kruger could not shed light on their findings.
