After seven years as the administration manager (political wing) at Tsholetsa House, the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), youthful Fidelis Molao has resigned.

Molao, who is associated with the well-connected Merafhe-Nkate faction, confirmed that he is leaving at the end of next month. He resigns before his term expires in 2010.

However, he would not disclose where he is headed for saying it will be announced at the right time. The 32-year-old Molao joined the BDP secretariat in 2003.  He was already a manager at the age of 26, heading Metsef branches in Palapye and Francistown before taking up the powerful post that gave him access to big guns in the corridors of power.
