BDP Launches 'Kgomo Ya Motswana'

In its bid to win all the opposition party controlled constituencies in 2009 general elections, the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) on Saturday launched a leadership training guide christened "Domkrag Kgomo ya Motswana" in Mmathubudukwane in Kgatleng East, a constituency currently represented in parliament by Isaac Mabiletsa of the Botswana National Front (BNF).

The chairperson of the BDP's Political, Elections and Education Committee (PEEC) Margaret Nasha introduced the document. She was accompanied by Augustine Kambimba from Selibe-Phikwe West, Councillor Power Moopi from Bobirwa and Councillor Ezekiel Kaduu from Ghanzi North.

Nasha said the name "Kgomo ya Motswana" derived from the fact that Batswana are a cattle-rearing nation and therefore "it will be (easy) for people to identify us."
