BDP launches election manual

FRANCISTOWN: Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) deputy executive secretary, Fidelis Molao, says: "We consider Bulela Ditswe to be the best system of determining who wins the internal elections. This is the best system and has been bringing results for the party," Molao said.

In his view, the most popular candidate will always win, unlike in the past when a few people decided who the contested would be.

But, this is the very system that has forced Cornelius Gopolang, Obert Takobana, Todd Maligen and Savie Toitoi, amongst many others, to leave the BDP recently and go independent.
