The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) has sensationally fired MP Robert Masitara and withdrawn his candidacy for the Bonnington North Parliamentary seat at yesterday’s constituency meeting chaired by the Party Secretry General Mpho Balopi.

Masitara has been courting trouble with campaign pamplets calling his colleagues corrupt. Before this the Central Committee had slapped him with a summons to appear before President Ian Khama to account for undermining the Vice-President Ponatshego Kedikilwe when he demanded that he [Kedikilwe] as the former minister responsible for Morupule, should be prosecuted.
