BDP defends minister's spouse in Bulela Ditswe appeals

The ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) does not see anything wrong with that Prince Moitoi, the husband of cabinet minister, Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi presiding over primary election appeals filed by his wifes rivals.

Prince Moitoi is the secretary of the BDP Serowe region committee, which rejected all the appeals from parliamentary and council candidates it received. He was campaign manager for his wifes team in the Serowe South constituency, where aspirants from the rival camp appealed results in seven wards.

Regional committee chairperson Bafana Motseothata said there is nothing wrong with Prince Moitoi sitting on the committee that heard the appeals.
