BDF slippery on 'discipline' of slumbering corporal

Botswana Defence Force (BDF) director of public relations, Lieutenant Colonel Mogorosi Baatweng says action has been taken against a corporal who was the section leader of a patrol team which terrorised Zimbabweans in Ramotswa in 2005.

Baatweng would not specify what type of disciplinary action was meted out since, he said, this was "an internal matter". 

Three BDF members and two special constables were found guilty on charges of rape and indecent assault.  The court was told that the officers were on patrol in Ramotswa when they committed the sexual offences on Zimbabweans.
