BDF plane crashes, kills 3

A Botswana Defence Force (BDF) CASA 212 aircraft has crashed near Thebephatswana Air Base on Thursday killing three people, the BDF has conformed.

“A Botswana Defence Force CASA 212 aircraft which left Thebephatshwa Air Base for Gaborone last evening has crashed in the general area of Thebephatshwa and three fatalities have been confirmed,” said a statement released on Friday afternoon from the BDF.

The statement further said the investigations to determine the cause of the accident are currently ongoing.
