BDC donates a house to orphaned family

ROBELELA: The Botswana Development Corporation (BDC) has lived up to the pledge they made during the commemoration of Vision 2016 last year and built a two bed-roomed house for an orphaned family here.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, BDC acting managing director, James Kamyuka said through their corporate social responsibility programme (CSR), the corporation pro-actively researches and identifies community initiatives and projects that fall within its policy guidelines.

He said from time to time, BDC CSR committee identifies the needy and worthy causes and also works closely with various charitable organisations through skills transfer, mentorship, voluntary work and financial assistance.Kamyuka said this year they opted to asset a family of four orphaned children in Robelela.
