BCP/BAM govt would ensure citizen participation

The vice president of the Botswana Congress Party (BCP), Dr Kesitegile Gobotswang says the BCP will diversify the country's economy to create jobs and eradicate poverty if voted into power.

Speaking at the launch of the joint manifesto of the Botswana Alliance Movement (BAM) and the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) last Sunday in Gaborone, Gobotswang said a government formed by the two parties would prioritise the tourism sector to ensure its control and ownership by citizens but driven by international best practices and first class environmental standards.

He said they would promote rural development through the agricultural sector and agro-industry development driven by modern technology, green energy and professional research.
