BCP vows to extend maternity leave

Botswana Congress Party (BCP) leader, Dumelang Saleshando says the opposition party will extend paid maternity leave from the current 12 weeks to 14 for all Batswana, should it take over power after October.

Launching the party’s candidate for Gaborone Bonnington North, Anna Motlhagodi on Sunday, Saleshando said the 14-week maternity was in line with International Labour Organisation stipulations.

“We are going to address labour issues,” he said.
