BCP to release health survey findings in July

FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana Congress Party (BCP) will release the findings of a cursory survey on perceptions of shortage of medicines in the country's second city in July.

Speaking to Mmegi this week, the party's secretary for health, Dr Habaudi Hubona, said the survey was conducted in March and April this year.

The findings will be released at the BCP congress in Sefhare.Dr Hubona was formerly the Superintendent of Nyangabwe Referral Hospital which, alongside Princess Marina Hospital in Gaborone, is one of only two referral hospitals in Botswana. She is now in private practice in the city centre here. "There is a perception among members of the public who regularly visit health facilities in Francistown and surrounding areas that there is a shortage of medicines," she said.
