BCP Palapye elects 2009 candidates

PALAPYE: Last Saturday Botswana Congress Party members in Palapye went to the polls to elect the men and women who will represent the party in the 2009 general elections.

There were seven political vacancies in the constituency, one for parliamentary office and six for council positions. 

Only three positions at council level were subjected to the democratic process of elections while four candidates were unopposed. It is hardly surprising that James Olesitse was returned unchallenged as the party's parliamentary candidate for Palapye.
