BCP, BDP in political afray

FRANCISTOWN: Five months before the October general elections, the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) and the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) are already engrossed in a verbal war in the Nkange constituency.

The issue is so serious that the two parties are literally engaged in political 'street fighting' in an endeavour to win the sympathy of the electorate.

At the centre of the dispute are allegations raised by the BCP that the ruling BDP teams led by the retired Commissioner of Police, Edwin Batshu, are fiercely engaged in an exercise of cross border voter-trafficking.
