According to the agreement, each party will retain its individual identity, including but not limited to its continued existence as a society, in terms of the Societies Act.
This means both parties will maintain their individual colours and symbols, separate membership registers and organisational structures. In the event of general or by-elections, the two parties shall not contest against each other and shall in the spirit of cooperation approach such elections as a bloc. In the deal, the two contracting parties shall conduct joint mobilisation activities, be they public meetings, entertainment, and social cultural or educational.
