BCP accuses Masalila of abuse of office

FRANCISTOWN: Botswana Congress Party (BCP) chairman, Batisani Maswibilili has accused Assistant Minister of Local Government and Nkange MP, Ambrose Masalila, of abuse of office.

"Masalila is fond of abusing his authority and intimidating the junior chiefs within the Tutume Sub District," charged Maswibilili. He claimed that the MP had the tendency of instructing the junior chiefs not to cooperate with the two BCP councillors in the area and give preference to the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) civic leaders.

The BCP man has reported his grievances to the Tutume Senior Sub Tribal Authority, Jenamo Magapatona. " I have told him openly that they should stop allowing themselves to be used by Masalila for the benefit of the BDP," said Maswibilili.
