BCMA meeting to focus on registration of choirs

A total of 20 choirs will descend on Mahalapye this Saturday, to attend the Botswana Choral Music Association (BCMA) annual general meeting and music fete, that will focus on assisting local choir associations register their groups to attract sponsorship.

BCMA public relations officer, Killer Modiba told Mmegi that they have invited the Botswana Registrar of Societies and Botswana Training Authority to the event. He explained that most choirs are underprivileged and outcast from government and NGOs as they are not officially registered. Because of this, they fail to get sponsorship.

 "We are working with Registrar of Socities to help push the mandate of getting all choirs registered as it is of prime importance," said Modiba.
