Batswana summit Mt. Kilimanjaro

Members of the local health and sport organization, Tshwaragano Adventure Trust, returned on Tuesday from a successful expedition to reach Africa's highest point, Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

The Trust undertook the 10-person expedition to raise funds for the Cancer Association of Botswana (CAB), as well as to raise awareness about cancer, which is a leading killer among non-communicable diseases in Botswana.

Five expedition members - Tawana Gaolathe, Moraki Mokgosana, Tigele Mokobi, Charles Mmelesi and Mesh Moeti - reached Africa's highest point, Uhuru Peak, which is 5895m high.
