Batswana students perish in Malaysia

Two Batswana students studying in Malaysia perished in a car accident in the early hours of Saturday, the assistant director of the department of Student Placement has confirmed yesterday.

According to Mosoma Kgotla the deceased students who were studying at Multi-Media University and KDU college and originated in Kanye and Molepolole respectively.
"It is true that two students died on the early hours of Saturday but we do not have the details of what could have happened leading to the accident," Kgotla said.

Kgotla said that the students who were driving themselves were traveling in a group of three males who were on their second year of studies and three females who were both doing first year and had been in Malaysia for barely a month when the accident happened. Out of the six students, Kgotla revealed that two died on the spot, one is in a very critical condition and in hospital with bad head injuries while three were treated and released with minor injuries.
