MATSHELAGABEDI: In an embarrassing development, Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) marginal faction, otherwise known as Barataphathi has openly ridiculed and snubbed Vice-President, Mompati Merafhe.

One did not have to be a rocket scientist to feel and read the abuse hailed at Merafhe.  In fact, this was part of the grand plan by the Kedikilwe-Kwelagobe faction to deliberately snub Merafhe, whom they associate with the officially disbanded dominant Nkate-Merafhe axis. The occasion was the launch of Tati East MP Samson Guma Moyo and the nine council candidates last Sunday.

Long before Merafhe's arrival, it was an open secret by the factionalists that "we are not going to give him an opportunity to even touch the microphone." Newshounds who covered the event were informed in advance to witness the embarrassing moment.
